Thornberg Construction built a brand-new custom home in Redmond, Washington, on a wooded property that previously held an existing house. That original house was demolished to make way for the new construction, and Thornberg built the new home on the same lot from the ground up.
The finished home is a two-story custom build with dark board-and-batten siding, multiple gables, and a stone accent base at the foundation line. A covered front entry with wood posts and glass double doors welcomes visitors under a large upper window, and an attached garage with two bays sits at the front of the home alongside the main living space. Upper-story windows and a mix of gable rooflines give the exterior a distinctive custom look.
Inside, the home includes a vaulted ceiling framed into one of the main living spaces, along with an open staircase connecting the levels. A tall window wall at the rear of the home brings natural light into the stairway and living area, looking out over the wooded property.
